Golden Gate and Capital Divisions to Unite for DLSSP 2008

Golden Gate Lieutenant Governor Gail Nipitnoraste will be teaming up her division with the Capital Division in the hopes to serving the homeless in the Berkeley area for this year's DLSSP.

"Meals for Real", the name of the event, deals with the packaging and distribution of Brown Bag lunches to the homeless people of Berkeley. They will be prepping the sandwiches on the UC Berkeley Campus, flyering in the morning to all of the homeless people throughout the city, and then will head over to People's Park to distribute the lunches.

To raise funds, the divisions will also aiming to have an Eat-for-Service (dinner) for Stand Up for Kids at the Emeryville California Pizza Kitchen afterwards. All funds will be donated to one of the District Fundraising Initiatives.
